It is, perhaps, worthwhile to point out the genealogies need not 
end with economists.  The above connections are well documented. 
As an example Lippmann stated in his Acknowledgments to THE GREAT 
SOCIETY (1937): "... I should like to acknowledge particularly the 
influence of...; of Professor Ludwig von Mises and Professor F. 
von Hayek, whose critique of planned economy has brought a new 
understanding of the whole problem of collectivism; of Mr. John 
Maynard Keynes, who has done so much to demonstrate to the free 
peoples that the modern economy can be regulated without
