I don't know if this is the forum to ask this question, but . . .
while I was in an art gallery over the weekend, I found a framed and encased
autograph of Mark Twain. It had a picture of Mr. Clemens and a small
write-up on the author. The autograph itself was on a piece of paper and
appeared to be from an old fountain pen, because the ink seemed to fade at
the end of some of the strokes. It was numbered (60/1500). The asking price
for the 9'11'' display was $160.00. I'm unfamiliar with the price of such an
item, but it seemed worth it to me (which I guess should be the real test).
So, I was just wondering if this is a reasonable asking price. If this is
way too low of a price, then I would like to be informed of it being a
possible fake.
Thanks,
Chris Voth
