This afternoon at approximately 2:15-2:30, the mailrelay system
encountered severe problems that prevented it from delivering mail to
yorku.ca addresses. If you received a message from the Mail Delivery
System around that time similar to this,

   ----- The following addresses had delivery problems -----
   [log in to unmask]  (unrecoverable error)

   ----- Transcript of session follows -----
   ... while talking to yorku.ca.:
   >>> RCPT To:<[log in to unmask]>
   <<< 550 <[log in to unmask]>... User unknown

you should resend the message to all the addresses listed in the "User
unknown" lines.

The source of the problem was a corrupted file used by the mail
delivery program to identify valid addresses. The problem has been
fixed.

We regret the inconvenience this has caused.
