A wild guess as I am at this computer and not with the Ham Hill book at hand
-- that would be the first place to look for an answer.  Twain never
bothered
with "enemies" when it might mean $.  But I will look it up and try a less
ambiguous answer.  Also will look u p the Puddd'nhead card while I'm at it.
