Dateline NBC is schedule to air a segment about censorship and _Adventures of Huckleberry Finn_ featuring Jocelyn Chadwick-Joshua, of the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture. A camera crew filmed her teaching Twain in a predominantly black high school in Dallas for the segment. Dr. Jocelyn Chadwick-Joshua was the recipient of the TLA/SIRS (Texas Library Association/Social Issues Resources Series) Intellectual Freedom Award in 1992. In 1995, she was a presenter at the Summer Teacher's Institute on Teaching _Adventures of Huckleberry Finn_ held at the Mark Twain House in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1996, The Playboy Foundation honored her with one of its six Hugh M. Hefner First Amendment Awards. Dr. Chadwick-Joshua was recognized in the education category for eloquently and courageously defending the right of teachers and students to study the works of Mark Twain.
