======================= HES POSTING ====================== The International Society for New Institutional Economics (ISNIE) will hold its inaugural conference September 19-21, 1997, at Washington University in St. Louis. The theme of the conference is THE PRESENT STATE AND FUTURE OF THE NEW INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMICS. Ronald Coase, the first president of the Society, will preside over the conference. Other presenters include a long list of leading scholars in various fields, including Robert Bates, Lee Benham, Harold Demsetz, Antony Dnes, Thrainn Eggertsson, Jean Ensminger, Paul Joskow, Gary Libecap, Scott Masten, Claude Menard, Gary Miller, Vistor Nee, Doulgass North, John Nye, Mancur Olson, Rudolf Richter, Itai Sened, Pablo Spiller, Oliver Williamson, Barry Weingast, and many others. All individuals interested in New Institutional Economics are invited to attend the conference.
