Telemedicine Legal Seminar Announced

Raleigh, NC - A one-day seminar sponsored by Legamed, Inc.
and the Center for Telemedicine Law will take place on
September 15, 1997 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in
Arlington, Virginia.  Titled The Legal Environment of
Telemedicine, the seminar is designed to assist physicians,
nurses, physician's assistants, telemedicine directors, hospital
administrators, legal counsel, health care attorneys, risk
managers and medical information staff about the important
legal issues involved in telemedical practice.

Seminar segments include:  The Status of Telemedicine
Licensure; Physician Credentialing In Telemedicine;
Liability Insurance, Risk Underwriting and Risk Management;
a Legislative Update of Telemedicine Activities at the
State and Federal Levels; Financial Aspects of Telemedicine,
including the Status of Reimbursement; the Regulatory, Scientific
and Technology Transfer Roles of the FDA in Telemedicine; and
Legal Issues in Using the Internet.
