HLTHEDUC - The Interactive Healthcare Education List Now Active
WHAT IS THE INTERACTIVE HEALTHCARE EDUCATION LIST?
The moderator of the list is Scott Alan Stewart, Editor/Publisher of the
Interactive Healthcare Newsletter. The purpose of the list is to
facilitate communication among health-related educators working in clinical
settings with an interest in computer-based education, as well as those in
academic settings with similar interests. List membership includes
professionals responsible for staff development, continuing education,
patient education, and health promotion, and who work in departments of
education, nursing, medicine, human resources, and communications, as well
as libraries, learning resource centers, and other settings. Although any
topic of interest to healthcare educators may be posted, this list also
will focus on the use of computers for professional and consumer education.
UNSUBSCRIBE/SUBSCRIBE
If you or someone you know would like to subscribe to the list, send email
to: [log in to unmask] In the SUBJECT of your email
message, type "subscribe" to subscribe to the list. (NOTE: this
listserver software is non-standard in that it requires you to put your
"subscribe" and "unsubscribe" message in the subject of the message, rather
than the body.)
POST MESSAGES TO THE LIST
List members may post messages to the list by sending mail to:

subject of the post in the subject. This is done as a courtesy to those on
the list who receive a large quantity of mail from several listservers and
must decide which mail to read based on the subject listing.
THIS IS A MODERATED LIST
The list will be moderated and inappropriate postings will be screened out.
Commercial product announcements will be screened for relevance and
summarized periodically to the list under one post. This will prevent
members from receiving an avalanche of commercial email. However, I will
post occasional promotional notices regarding the Interactive Healthcare
Newsletter, Directory, and Website.
APPROPRIATE SUBJECT MATTER
Appropriate use of the HLTHEDUC List includes, but is not limited to,
sharing information and resources about health-related education and
training (especially regarding computerized education), asking questions of
colleagues regarding the same, discussing practical, theoretical, and
philosophical issues, publicizing meetings, classes, and other educational
offerings, and announcing job openings.
