Sherrie, ARF has just released a handbook called "Let 'em Go", How to Support Youth in Creating Their Own Solutions. It describes a participatory research project we were involved in, along with several agencies serving street involved youth in downtown Toronto. In addition to giving practical advice on working with youth, it also describes the participatory research process. For further information, you could contact the project manager, Elsbeth Tupker, at 416-595-8743 (or [log in to unmask]) or call our Marketing Department to order a copy directly (416-595-6059). The scientist who was involved in the project, Dr. Blake Poland, is currently with the University of Toronto. He may have other written materials as well. >>> Sherrie Tingley <[log in to unmask]> 06/22/98 05:43pm >>> Hello, I am hoping some people can help me. I am working on the welfare watch website and I wanted to be able to link to resources for community groups doing action based participatory research. So far, I can mostly find resources on program evaluation. So, what are people's fav resources both on-line and print that would be assessable for mostly consumer based groups to work with?
