Apologies for crossposting. HEALTHPROMIS BIBLIOGRPHIC DATABASE FOR HEALTH PROMOTION NOW ONLINE HealthPromis is the national health promotion database for England. The database references the extensive collection of international, national and local health promotion information most of which is held in the Health Promotion Information Centre at the Health Education Authority, UK. This includes references to government publications, surveys, reference documents, research reports, books, journal articles, and resources (videos, teaching material, software, cassettes, and games). HealthPromis is continually updated so the information remains topical and current. To access the database please visit http://healthpromis.hea.org.uk <http://healthpromis.hea.org.uk> The database is focused towards health professionals and is free to access. HealthPromis also contains the databases of: - Health-related, reviewed resources for different population groups such as Black and Minority Ethnic Groups, Learning Disabilities, Older People and Young People (called niche databases). - HEA research publications and internal reports. - Current awareness and journal article abstracts. Books and resources are not available for loan although items can be previewed at the HPIC, visits are by appointment only. The database is always being developed, and we are aiming for it to become a gateway to the world of health promotion information, linking with other relevant information sources. Any comments, feedback can be addressed to me. Thank you, Katherine.
