The Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth is recruiting health promotion staff for substance abuse prevention programming. A Substance Prevention Promoter is needed to plan, develop, implement and evaluate substance abuse prevention programs. Applicants with a Master's Degree in Health Science, Health Promotion or related area; sound knowledge of substance abuse prevention, behaviour change theory, policy analysis and development; with demonstrated competence in program planning and evaluation, health promotion strategies, community mobilization, and written verbal and mass media communication will be preferred. Candidates with a baccalaureate degree in health or applied sciences with 2 years experience in health promotion, community mobilization, program planning, implementation and evaluation and strong research and analytical skills will also be considered.
