================ HES POSTING ======================= Having to write a sort of summary essay for a book on the American Revolution -- playing around a bit with the thought that Parliament was getting ready to use the 13 colonies as a vent for those desiring new monopolistic ventures (which of course was what made the Tea Party so significant) -- wondered if there was discussion of this on the British side of the Atlantic. That is, when the colonies revolted, did they take away what might have been a safety valve for those wanting special privileges via government? Just speculating here, wanted to know if anyone had actually written about it. Mary Schweitzer, Assoc.
