I have received the following query on the HES "Ask the Prof" service. I
thought members of this list might be able to point me to references the
graduate student who inquiring about this could use:

1. Which were the 10 most 'important' Introductory Economics textbooks
between 1960-1985?

2. Is there any ranking available for current introductory economic
textbooks?

It would be helpful if members could identify both North American and
U.K. texts, since the graduate student is located in the U.K.
