Leith,

As regards your workshop comment, the Professional Development Committee
has as part of its mission, the goal of developing a workshop programme
that is more responsive to the needs of the membership.

Coincidentally, the curriculum for ARCH 1009 (Computers and Archives) is up
for periodic review this year (it is currently scheduled for 2003). There
has also been a discussion around creating an advanced workshop (perhaps in
conjunction with ARCHEION programming) on designing databases to control
archival functions. This could involve FMP or Inmagic.

The Professional Development Committee is meeting at the Conference, on
June 14th. These meetings are open to members. I invite anyone interested
in what we do to attend.

Paul
