The way I remember it is that Smith separated the two, projector and
adventurer, according to how well the venture turned out. It was an ex
post perspective that fit in well with his prodigal and frugal types.
Surely Smith would say that Gates, today, after tremendous success, is a
positive contributor. But what I've wonder is what Smith would say in 1977
about Bill Gates?
Like Larry, I'm curious about what others think . . .
