Only a non economist could ask so refreshing question that indeed is the
fundamental epistemological question of economic science, although most of
today's economists nevertheless deny it, or consider that it is over. There
are such attempts, but they come against absolute rejection, even against
censorship from the various established schools of economic thought.
Actually, the current economic thought is in a deep crisis, and I have
become convinced that only an external pressure is able to help economists
in resolving it.

Allow me to inform you of a paper of mine that proposes a holistic approach
of macro-economic systems, as an entropic process. It has been published on
the web at this address: http://www.edu-irep.org/romain.htm
