In 1907 when Twain sailed to Oxford for his honorary degree, he
apparently met and socialized with a group of Georgians during the trip.
Among that group was a "Mr. and Mrs. William Cosgrove," according to the
single source I've seen.  Can anyone help me with more details or sources
for what to me is a striking bit of serendipity?  I tell my students every
time I teach Twain about how "Bill Cosgrove" met Twain, and I'd like to do
more research for them and myself on this happy coincidence.  My  source is
