2 Temporary Assignments for 5 months - Special Project
TITLE: Conservation Technician - Surveys (2)
MINISTRY: Government Services
SALARY RANGE: $750 to $841 per week
POSTING DATE: 7 October 2005
CLOSING DATE: 24 October 2005
LOCATION: Toronto
AREA OF SEARCH: OPEN
The Ministry of Government Services' Archives of Ontario offers this
exciting opportunity. Working in a team environment, you will: conduct
surveys of collections onsite; evaluate the physical condition of
photographs, documentary art, cartographic/textual records; report findings;
recommend future conservation treatment priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of conservation, preservation management, archival
practices; chemical/physical properties of archival materials; historical
fabrication; experience conducting conservation surveys; compiling data;
reporting on results; PC/software proficiency; good interpersonal,
communication skills; knowledge of the Canadian Association for Conservation
of Cultural Property's code of ethics.
