----------------- HES POSTING -----------------

E.B.Wilson (1879-1964), Harvard mathematician (at the School of Public
Health!), on the editorial board of Econometrica, published statistical
work
suggesting that there were no regular cycles evident in economic time
series,
reviewed Haavelmo's major Cowles Commission monograph etc. Is this the
Wilson you mean? Or Edgar Bright Wilson, physicist, born in 1908 and died
in 1992. He co-authored a famous book on quantum theory with Linus Pauling
and wrote another on how to do science, but I'm not aware of any work in
economics.
