BASIC CONSERVATION WORKSHOP

Summary:
This workshop will provide a basic introduction to the principles of
conservation methods and materials. Specific topics include: removal of
staples; sewing small pamphlets with linen thread; tear repair; testing
of pH of paper; surface cleaning; polyester sheet encapsulation of a
single sheet item; and construction of a 4-flap storage folder for
textual records and photographs. There will also be time for your own
conservation questions.
