Can anyone clarify the correct definition of HP as set out in the Ottawa
Charter: Currently WHO uses the following definition on its site:

Health promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over,
and to improve their health.

However, I have worked from a definition which is quoted in other texts (eg
Fran Baum in The New Public Health) in relation to the OC which reads as
follows:

Health promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over
the determinants of health and thereby to improve their health.
