Folks;  I may have circulated this little article a couple years ago when it appeared, about the Horace Bixby house in Lafayette Square, about a mile north of my home in STL.  If not, here it is;  if I did, swallow hard and move on in another direction... But it circled back to my attention today due to other issues:


Anyway, the exact address is 1532 Mississippi Ave., which oddly is never mentioned in the article.  Worth a look, if you are ever streaming through the Lou.  PS: Lafayette Square is itself fascinating, being considered by some to feature the finest Victorian-style architecture of any old neighborhood in the country;  and also perhaps the first of its type west of the Mississippi (just a mile or 2 west, but west nonetheless...).

Horace Bixby, friend of Mark Twain, was buried without a headstone. Larry and Andrea Heugatter wanted to change that.
