The Region of Hamilton-Wentworth / City of Hamilton (Ontario) is recruiting
for health promotion staff for substance abuse prevention programming.

Working within a multi-disciplinary health promotion team at a Teaching
Health Unit, a Substance Abuse Prevention Promoter is needed to plan,
develop, implement and evaluate substance abuse prevention programs.
Applicants with a Master's Degree in Health Science, Health Promotion or
related area; sound knowledge of substance abuse prevention, behaviour
change theory, policy analysis and development; with demonstrated competence
in program planning and evaluation, health promotion strategies, community
mobilization, and written verbal and mass media communication will be
preferred.  Candidates with a baccalaureate degree in health or applied
sciences with 2 years experience in the above areas and strong research and
analytical skills will also be considered.  Salary based on $45,867.64 -
$52,122.98 per annum and attractive benefits package.
