The Social & Public Health Services Department with the City of Hamilton is
recruiting for:

Manager,
Nutrition & Physical Activity Promotion

Reporting to the Director of Healthy Lifestyles & Disease Prevention, you
will manage the planning, implementation and evaluation of nutrition and
physical activity promotion programs, including the supervision of public
health nutritionists, public health dietitians, physical activity promoters
and support staff.  As a member of a Public Health Research and Education
Development Unit affiliated with McMaster University and University of
Guelph, you will participate in research projects, facilitate and contribute
to the education of nutrition and community health students.

Applicants require a baccalaureate degree in food and nutrition or
equivalent program; a master's degree in nutrition with an emphasis in
public health or community nutrition, or a master's degree in health
promotion, public health, health sciences, behavioural sciences, or a
related field; as well as registration with the College of Dietitians of
Ontario.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and
skills in public health practice and health promotion strategies; and
demonstrated leadership skills including, decision making, staff
supervision, and organizational skills.  Excellent verbal and written
communication skills are essential.
