Interesting to see Twain described as "a man of considerable height," since 
I believe I've read he was 5-foot-8. I wonder if that was really considered 
tall in those days?

Also, I assume the "unpublished sheets" involving Colonel Sellers and his 
"visionary projects" must have come from the play he wrote with Howells 
called "Colonel Sellers as a Scientist" -- an odd choice for a public 
reading, even if it did result in "uncontrolled mirth."
