Ernest Lluch, professor of History of Economic Thought at the 
University of Barcelona, Spain, was murdered yesterday night in 
Barcelona by the terrorist band E.T.A. 
 
The Department of Economic History of the University of Barcelona  
wishes to communicate its grief and mourning for this attack to an  
extremely liberal, tolerant, and generous member of our scientific
