Ph. D. Seminar to be held at the 6th Annual Conference of the European
Society for the History of Economic Thought (ESHET)
12-13 March 2002 at the University of Crete, in Rethymno, Crete

CALL FOR PAPERS
Prior to the 6th Annual Conference of the European Society for the History
of Economic Thought (ESHET), a two-days seminar will be held at the
University of Crete, on 12th and 13th of March 2002, in which Ph.D.
students can present their field of research, receive comments and
suggestions, and meet and discuss with other postgraduates. Presentations
can be longer and discussions and comments will be more extensive than in
the open sessions of the conference. Ph.D. students are, of course, invited
to stay on for the conference, but papers presented at the Ph.D. seminar
can not be presented again at the conference. Applications with supporting
letters by their supervisors or other appropriate scholars and a brief
proposal for the seminar presentation should be sent no later than 31
October 2001 to the above conference address.

(Key word: "Ph.D. Seminar").

A scientific committee, consisting of G. Stathakis (co-ord), W. Eltis, C.
Perotta, P.L. Porta, B. Schefold, P. Steiner and G. Vaggi will screen the
proposals and inform applicants by 30 November 2001 if they are accepted.

Postgraduates are asked to secure only their travel expenses. Accommodation
and other local expenses will be covered by the University of Crete. These
will also include all scheduled activities, such as visits to archeological
sites and other excursions.
