Session: Economic Thought and Economic Policy in 19th Century Less
Developed Europe
The purpose of the papers in this session will be to explore and discuss
the process of dissemination of economic ideas among Europe's less
developed countries and regions and the interaction between economic
thought and economic policy in different times and places during the 19th
century.
The session organisers invite papers on any aspect relevant to the
session's theme. Papers may focus on a specific author, a group of
authors, a school of thought, the evolution of institutions or the legacy
of certain economic policy-makers. They may concentrate on the analysis of
theoretical issues or be policy-oriented. Finally, they may deal with any
European country, or a group of countries or a country's region.
Interested participants should send a title and a one-page abstract
proposal by 30 October 1996 to the session organisers:
