Folks, welcome back to the new semester:

I'm trying to finish the details for illustrations for a book, and wondered
about permissions:  if I own a photo, but got a copy and/or scan from an
archive previously, do I still need to seek permission?

I seem to recall from earlier projects that if an image is in my own
personal collection I can use it -- am I wrong about that??
