It is a great loss. I think Don's work is of relevance to this list. Certainly he did
important work in methodology, economics and philosophy, and economics and sociology, as
well as the history and philosophy of science and social science. It is hard for me to
imagine there would be a hermeneutic Austrian 'school' in the tradition of Lachmann
without him. I think he supervised Boettke, Horwitz, and Prychitko, probably some others.
I think for many this is the most important work being done in the Austrian tradition in
the last 15-20 years.
