Sharon et al,

I am the AAO representative to CCA, as Institutional Development Chair. AAO members are welcome to contact me -- details are provided below, and on the AAO website.

The AAO Board is currently in the process of drafting its own response to the LAC reports and the CCA's responses, and this will be made available soon. I would encourage all AAO members who are concerned about the renewal of these funding programs to contact the CCA directly to voice your support. You might also consider writing a letter to Liza Frulla, the new federal Minister of Canadian Heritage, and your MP, to let them know what this funding has meant to your archives. Please also refer to Marie-Josée Lévesque's posting to AAOLIST on July 23 regarding the current state of ARCHEION support, for some excellent suggestions on how to direct your advocacy.

Remember that these funding programs have been the source for the Control of Holdings, Preservation Management, and CAIN grants distributed by the AAO. They make possible the AAO Preservation Consultant and Archives Advisor positions, AAO Professional Development workshops and ARCHEION. These funding programs matter to all of us!

Thanks to Sharon for making sure AAOLIST subscribers are kept abreast of these postings to ARCAN-L.

If you need the URLs of the reports & responses again, here they are:

Subject: Ontario's rep to CCA

Further to Denise Jones' posting,(which I've just forwarded from
arcan-l), can anyone clarify who is presently representing Ontario at
the CCA table?
Is it Michael Fish as new President, or Amy Marshall as Institutional
Development chair. I see the new AAO Board responsibilities have just
been posted to the AAO site
Thanks
Sharon
