Dear AAO members,

As you may be aware, the Grants and Contributions Program from which CCA grants are funded is up for renewal this year.  This situation means that we cannot be certain that there will be Control of Holdings and Preservation Management grants for 2005-06.  As a result, the normal application process for grants has been suspended, and temporary procedures are in place for this year.

For 2005-06, the CCA is inviting "Expressions of Interest" from institutions.  These are brief (1 page) outlines of projects for which institutions would like to receive grant funds if such funds become available.  The form is attached to this email, and is also available at
http://www.cdncouncilarchives.ca/financial.html.

Note that Ontario applicants must be AAO members in good standing.  The deadline is November 2nd, 2004.  Expressions of Interest are to be submitted directly to the CCA, to the attention of Louise Charlebois, either by fax (613-565-5445) or by email at [log in to unmask]

Institutions are allowed to submit more than one Expression of Interest.  Please note that there is no guarantee of grant funding, and that Expressions of Interest may be subject to further adjudication, or may require additional documentation at a future date.  There is no cap on the amount that may be requested.
