An excellent opportunity exists with the Archives of Ontario. Our Archivists
acquire/manage records with high evidential, informational and legal value
that document the key activities/decisions of the Ontario Government and
development of Ontario society. Working under a Senior Archivist on a new
collection from a private donor you will: arrange/describe moving images and
related textual records in accordance with professional/institutional
standards, inspect/implement measures to preserve moving images, prepare
reports and provide reference services.

Qualifications:  Thorough knowledge of archival science, Ontario history,
archival descriptive standards, moving image (film and video)
formats/preservation issues; experience in appraisal, acquisition,
arrangement/description and moving image preservation/access issues;
excellent communication, analytical skills; excellent technical skills in
inspection of physical condition, identification of preservation issues,
motion picture film repair; customer service, organizational, interpersonal,
negotiation skills; demonstrated ability to set priorities/work with minimal
supervision.
