I am wanting to know the origin of Lionel Robbins' observation that the
two primary factors one should consider when assessing the value of an
individual's contribution to scientific thought is the originality of the
ideas and the degree to which the contribution influenced others. I have
quickly scanned The Nature and Significance of Economic Science, to no
avail.
