RE: Symposium, "John Dewey: Modernism, Postmodernism and Beyond"
Date: July 20-22, 2001
Location: Great Barrington, Mass

Registration and grant application forms: www.brc-aier.org

The Behavioral Research Council (BRC) is launching an ambitious series
of symposia on the foundations of social theory. BRC would like to
advance the relevance of pragmatism to the study of human action,
institutions, and organizations. This symposium focuses on Dewey's
theory of inquiry--on whether it is distinguishable from postmodernism
and modernism and how it can inform economic methodology.

Great Barrington is located among the rolling Berkshire Hills of Western
Mass, about 2.5 hours from New York City and Boston. It is close to
many cultural attractions including Tanglewood, the summer home of the
Boston Symphony Orchestra.
