"The Geography of the New Economy" (chapter 1 of a web text) --
http://www.rri.wvu.edu/WebBook/Norton/contents.htm -- presents today's
"new economy" as a Kondratieff wave in the sense that Schumpeter and
Kuznets (in a 1940 AER review of Schumpeter's Business Cycles) meant.
That is: There is new economy, the digital economy, but it is one of a
series of "new economies" that transform capitalism every 50 years or so.
