Wasn't Maurice Allais the nobel laureate who replied, "I know nothing of such things, I'm
an economic theorist," when set upon by reporters asking questions about the state of the
world economy after the announcement of his award?
 
I remember attending a luncheon right after Allais won the prize where Jim Buchanan
publicly commented that the prize had just been awarded to someone who hadn't done
anything in twenty years.
