Sam Fleischacker (at University of Illinois, Chicago) has published a book (Third Concept
of Liberty, Princeton, 1999) and at leat one article ("Philosophy in Moral Practice: Kant
and Adam Smith," Kant-Studien, 82/3, 1991) that has explored the Kant/Adam Smith
connection.  I think Sam wrote one more article on this connection.
