ARCHEION OUTREACH ARCHIVISTS

The Archives Association of Ontario seeks two professional archivists to
provide outreach services to AAO institutional members who would like to
participate in the ARCHEION network.  This is a contract for 22 weeks
during the period of October 2001 to March 2002.  The hourly salary rate
is $25.00/hr (based on a 35 hour work week) and 4% vacation pay.
Travel, meal and accommodation expenses are covered separately.

Duties: Reporting to the ARCHEION Coordinator, the roving archivists
will visit Ontario archives to provide professional advice and
assistance in preparing/editing fonds level descriptions for entry into
the ARCHEION network, according to the standards of ARCHEION and Rules
for Archival Description.

Qualifications: Graduate degree plus archival training; experience
preparing RAD descriptions; excellent communication skills.  Valid
driver's licence.  Fluency in French and English an asset.  Combination
of related experience and education may be considered as equivalent.

with interviews to be conducted as soon as possible thereafter.
