Genealogical and Historical Conference

CALL FOR PAPERS
This Conference, will explore the rich history of
Ontario’s Underground Railroad and the historical
and genealogical impact of those black pioneers
that made their way to Freedom in the Queen’s
Bush (now Grey County) in the period of 1820 to
1865.
Topic: Does formal Ontario History properly
reflect the African Canadian Experience in
Ontario?
* Research papers related to this topic are
welcomed. High quality papers may be published in
this Special Issue Journal in academic style
following this first Annual Conference.
* Abstracts, which must be submitted by February
1st 2002, should be at least 500 words, clearly
state the methods used and include a list of
references. Papers may be submitted
electronically or by hard copy. Authors will
receive feedback on their abstracts by March 1st
2002. The full article must be submitted no later
than April 15th 2002. It will then be undergo a
blind review by at least two academic reviewers.
