Subject: [Arcan-l] The Stratford Report, 2011 re digital media
Dear Colleagues,
I attach a pdf file of the report issued by the Stratford Institute at the
Canada 3.0 conference last week.
Our intent is twofold:
1) To help Canadians understand what the CANADA 3.0 conference means by
its 'moonshot':--Canada- a Digital Nation by 2017
2) To assess and report on our progress as a society in achieving this
ambitious goal
This is also available online, inviting comment and discussion, on
www.canada30.ca web site.
The Introduction provides an overview of the report. It includes an
assessment by Canadiana.org on how much of our print heritage is currently
available online (13%) and a practical suggestion on how to engage Canadians
in a one-time participatory project to mobilize our knowledge resources.
Please feel free to distribute to others who may be interested in these
issues.
Best wishes
Ian
