Now that Coase has surfaced here, I have a question. If the New 
Institutional Economics, as I believe O. Williamson first called it, goes 
back as (OW and others claim) to Herbert Simon, thence directly to Chester 
Barnard, thence directly to Commons's Institutional Economics, as OW 
himself briefly grants, how did Coase get into the picture, and when, and 
who drew him there?
