I am not sure that Schumpeter would have agreed that the second edition
includes "substantial changes". He acknowledged in the "vorwort zur zweiten
auflage" only some cuts, simplifications and rewriting - By these changes,
Schumpeter intended to help the reader to focus on the core message of the
first edition.

For those interested by the differences between Theorie der
wirtschaflichen Entwicklung (1911) and Theory of Economic Development
(1934) see :

Schumpeter 1911 farsighted visions on economic development.
