[Regarding Barkley's argument.] 
 
A position is either correct, defensible, unarguable, etc. 
or it is not.  To name a position "philosophical" or 
"methodological" is only to add a 5th wheel which gives 
a failed rival position a sociological out -- i.e. no  
valid out at all.  Off course, much in economics depends 
on this invalid out.
