As part of a series of events celebrating "The Illustrated Mark Twain"
literary exhibition at the Newton Center for British-American Studies, Dr.
Robert Hirst will present a lecture on the private papers of author Samuel
Langhorne Clemens, also known as Mark Twain, which are housed at The
Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Hirst is General Editor of the Mark Twain Papers at the University of
California, Berkeley. The program is sponsored by the Jen Library and
Newton Center for British-American Studies of the Savannah College of Art
and Design. The event is free and open to the public and a reception will
follow the lecture.
