Actually, this is not quite correct: 
 
The first edition of Schumpeter's "Theorie der wirtschaftlichen 
Entwicklung" (i.e. The Theory of Economic Development) was published in 
Leipzig in 1911. Schumpeter made substantial changes in the second edition 
published in 1926. Therefore, the anniversary mentioned is the publication 
of the American edition in 1934.
