Summer Contract

The County of Elgin has an exciting summer position in the newly developed Archives program.  Under the general supervision of the County Archivist, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks relating to the operation of the County Archives.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will be enrolled in archival studies or records and information management. Thorough knowledge of archival principles and practice along with excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.  Familiarity with database management systems is a definite asset. Candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.
