Yes, I know two documented cases. You will hardly find a citation by Frank 
Fetter to Herbert Davenport's work. And, following Fetter's nasty critique 
of Davenport's magnum opus in 1915, you will hardly find a citation by 
Davenport of Fetter's work, although prior to that, you will find many. 
These two authors lived during the same era, published several books on 
common themes, and were giants in American economic thought during the 
first three decades of this century.
