City Archivist

Are you interested in working for a progressive City that is committed

professional archivist, recognized for your accomplishments and have
strong management skills, we are interested in you.

Reporting to the City Clerk, you will be responsible for a municipal
archives that has an established reputation for its collections and its
research services. You will manage the program, its staff and facilities
in all aspects of archives administration from acquisition of materials
to disposition. You will also manage the City's records and information
program, including planning a corporate electronic document and records
management strategy.

To accomplish these challenges, you have a comprehensive, practical
understanding of the future of archives, records and information
management and have strategies to advance the organization. You have
experience with the application of technology. Organizational leadership
and management skills are characteristics of your career. You have
excellent interpersonal skills and have experience in working with
external researchers, organizations and the public.

Your qualifications include a Master of Archival Studies, Library and
Information Studies or similar degree and extensive experience in a
public sector archives.
