Following on the heels of our very successful guided tour of art and
architecture at the Ontario Legislative Building, TAAG is pleased to invite
all AAO members and friends to another great TAAG event!

Join us at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday October 30th at the Thomson Art Gallery.
You'll see over 400 examples from the collection of the billionaire Canadian
media magnate, Kenneth Thomson, whose hobby for the past 40 years has been
to acquire examples of the best of 19th and 20th century Canadian painters.
The 4,800 square foot gallery is situated in the flagship store of the
Hudson's Bay Company at Queen and Yonge streets.

The Gallery is accessed by going to the eighth floor of the Bay at the west
end of the store, closest to Bay Street. From there you go up one flight of
stairs to the mezzanine overlooking the Arcadian Court. Admission to the
Gallery and tour is $4.00 per person, and this will be collected at the
door. However, since TAAG has to pay in advance, we would appreciate your
RSVP by Friday October 24th.

After we have had our fill of the marvellous paintings, which include works
by Cornelius Krieghoff, Paul Kane, Tom Thomson, Lawren Harris, David Milne,
J.W. Morrice, etc., etc., we will head off for a TAAG pub at The Flatiron &
Firkin. This pub is located in the famous Gooderham flatiron building at 49
Wellington Street East, at Church Street. If you cannot join us for the
tour, you are still most welcome to come and quaff and few with the rest of
us at 7 p.m.

TAAG events are a very pleasant way to get together with friends old and new
- make some contacts - and just relax in a congenial atmosphere. Do mark
this tour down in your calendar and plan to attend!
